Usage of door and window seals:
Window seals can be classified into three categories based on their use: door and window seals,毛条, and glass seals (adhesive strips).
Door and window sealing strips are mainly used for sealing between the door panel and the door frame, while the top strip is mainly used for sealing between the door frame and the door leaf. Glass sealing strips are mainly used for sealing between the glass and the door leaf or door frame.
Currently, the sealing strips available in the market are mainly made of vulcanized EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) and thermoplastic TPV (thermoplastic vulcanizate), which primarily serve the functions of sealing, waterproofing, and dustproofing.
Sealing strips play an important role in waterproofing, sealing, energy saving, sound insulation, dustproofing, frost resistance, and heat preservation in plastic steel doors and windows, broken bridge aluminum doors and windows, and wooden doors and windows.
They must have strong tensile strength, good elasticity, as well as good temperature resistance and aging resistance.
To ensure the tightness of the sealing strip with the profile, the structural dimensions of the sealing strip in the profile must match those of the plastic tempered door and window profile.
What to do if the sound insulation effect of broken bridge aluminum windows is poor?
First tip: Install soundproof windows.
The principle of making soundproof windows consists of two or three layers of glass and a window frame. These glasses have different textures and thicknesses. According to regulations, the sound insulation effect must reach at least 25 decibels to be considered a soundproof window. If you have enough funds, you might consider replacing all the windows of the house facing the road; I believe there will be significant improvement.
Second measure: Add soundproof windows.
If you find replacing soundproof windows too troublesome, you can remove and reinstall them. Alternatively, you can add a soundproof window on top of the existing window, which can also slightly alleviate the noise problem.
Third tip: Add a layer of glass.
This method is similar to the previous one, but this construction may be more complicated, so it is recommended not to choose it lightly.
Fourth tip: Keep windows tightly closed and open them less.
This is a relatively conservative method. Adding sealing strips to the windows and opening them less at home can reduce the impact of noise.
Fifth tip: Use thick curtains.
This method is relatively simple; buy a very thick curtain to block it, but it may affect the light in the house.
